I don’t like combining multiple subjects into posts, but I’ve been too busy to be posting every day, so this post will be a compilation.
I’ve been friends with Dominic Schomberg for several years now, and I’ve always been intrigued with his parents’ family business. Last Thursday I drove down to Barre, WI, outside of La Crosse, to photograph the Schombergs’ Rottweiler farm. Mr. Schomberg has been a purebred hog breeder for a long time, so he knows what he’s doing.
This is Bart; he’s my favorite. He lives with one of the Schomberg kids:

It was just about the most perfect day to be shooting without strobes. The light was soft but still direct and there were puffy clouds everywhere. I’ll post more about the Schombergs when I finish the website I am working on for them.

Then, yesterday, my good friend Tim Chamberlain got married to Tara Bordewyk. I was one of the groomsmen. I brought my camera and took a few. Tim rented a Mustang for the wedding day:

Today was mostly slow, but we watched Blue, my parents’ dog, for a few hours. We took her on a walk to the park, and the moment we let her run she found a giant mud hole. She just wanted to cool off:
